You are already convinced you need an MPA degree for the next step in your career, and you have already decided to pursue the degree online so as not to halt said career in the meantime. You just don’t have three months to cram for the GRE before you get down to applying. This list of the top 10 online MPA degree programs with no GRE required was compiled with you in mind. Each of these schools has waived the GRE requirement and offers an online program to the master’s in public administration degree, except where noted in cases of sub-par undergraduate GPA results.

In researching this list of the top 10 online MPA programs with no GRE required, we looked at tuition value (ten points), relevancy of the curriculum to the field (ten points) and the amount of individual attention provided by the program as implied by their reported student to faculty ratio (ten points). A bonus of five points was awarded for national recognition of the program or for exceptional services for online students.

All enrollment, tuition (in the bullet point above the school review), and student to faculty ratio numbers are pulled from the National Center for Education Statistics, a service of the US government. The tuition figure quoted in the bullet point is the reported graduate, out of state rate. Any hourly tuition rate quoted in the school review itself has been pulled from that school’s website and represents a special rate for online students in the MPA program.
